River Runs Red focuses on Charles Coleman (Taye Diggs), a respected judge who has dedicated his life to implementing laws. Coleman, who was shot in a police fling with her son going wrong, requested help from her detective friend Horace (John Cusack). They have previously noticed that two police officers who have been involved in a similar incident have misused their duties. Betrayed by the system he swore allegedly, the judge contacted another father (George Lopez) who had lost his son because of the same police officers. The two decide to take revenge together.
